This unique PCR panel identifies 29 organisms that are frequent causes of Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). Testing has a higher sensitivity and specificity compared to the traditional urine culture technique. Nine antibiotic resistance markers are included to assist with rapid antibiotic selection. It minimizes false negatives while promoting antibiotic stewardship.

Urinary Tract Infections can cause frequent hospitalizations, especially in chronic or hard-to-treat infections.  Our molecular PCR testing quickly identifies the pathogen(s), including those often missed in cultures, and the antibiotic resistance markers.  These critical results are delivered in on the same day. This test can be reflexed to traditional culture for antibiotic sensitivities.
